"Blue Marble" Earth Patch
The image of Earth from space is a symbol that anyone, anywhere in the world can relate to, regardless of nationality, ethnic origin, or religious beliefs.
Wear your Earth patch with pride! We are all citizens of this planet.
The Earth patch is designed after the Earth Day flag. It represents a symbol that anyone on Earth can relate to, regardless of nationality, ethnic origin, or religious beliefs. At Blue Marble Space (the parent organization of GreenSpace), we invite all those who identify as "ambassadors of planet Earth" to display the patch on their travel clothing (backpacks, jackets, flight suits…).
We hope that one day all human explorers will wear this symbol, making the point that on land, underwater, in the air, and in space, we are first and foremost humans. Exploring under a common symbol will emphasize that the beauty of humanity lies in its diversity, and the outcome of exploration should be for the benefit of all.
As part of our effort to share this vision, Blue Marble Space also collects pictures of the patch taken all over the world, with meaningful landmarks as the background. The background can be buildings, landscapes, or really anything that conveys the beauty of our planet and/or the accomplishment of being human. To date, over 100 pictures have been sent to us from all over the world. Follow @oneflaginspace on Twitter to see those picture or visit the One Flag in Space website to learn more.
